Song Obssession V
Sorry for those expecting an update but I haven't been satisfied with my writings (or lack of) lately. Plus reallocating to a new continent takes some getting used to (although I will admit I am very slow with it =P).
Any-ho, I am hoping I can get something out (on the new blog preferably) by this weekend. So far, it looks like I can finish my reading (for mathematics, who knew?) and homework by Friday which would leave me the weekend to focus on my writing.
For the time being, my playlist has only been playing Ingrid Michaelson and lately, Priscilla Ahn. Both are lovely ladies with beautiful songs and are definitely worth checking out. Kudo's to my Kak Long Sharauwn (=P) for recommending them to me! Hence, I will leave my faithful unsatisfied readers with 3 (Boy, I'm generous) lyrics of Priscilla which are the 3 songs that I loop the most.

Dream - Priscilla Ahn
I was a little girl
Alone in my little world
Who dreamed of a little home for me
I played pretend between the trees
And fed my houseguests bark and leaves
And laughed in my pretty bed of green
I had a dream
That I could fly
From the highest swing
I had a dream
Long walks in the dark
Through woods grown behind the park
I asked God who I'm supposed to be
The stars smiled down at me
God answered in silent reverie
I said a prayer and fell asleep
I had a dream
That I could fly
From the highest tree
I had a dream
oooo....
Now I'm old and feeling gray
I don't know what's left to say
About this life I'm willing to leave
I lived it full, I lived it well
As many tales I live to tell
I'm ready now, I'm ready now
I'm ready now
To fly from the highest wing
I had a dream
Wallflower - Priscilla Ahn
Do you see me standing there in the corner
I was alone, I always am at these big parties
Watching you, watching everybody
Wishing I was more outgoing
Wishing I was dressed up pretty
Wallflower, I'm not here, no one sees me
Wallflower, I'm by myself, please excuse me
But there you were
Standing in your own corner
Your eyes were wide
Tired, fading, just like mine
We could be the best of friends
I'm sure of it
But I'm too shy to
Cross this crowed room
Besides
Wallflower, I'm not here, no one sees me
Wallflower, I'm by myself, please excuse me
Help me leave this corner of the room
I'm reaching out to you
Cause I've got things
I could talk to you about
And we could be
Wallflower friends 'til the end
Wallflower friends 'til the end
I'm sure of it
Wallflowers, we're not here, no one sees us
Wallflowers, we're together, please excuse us
Lullaby - Priscilla Ahn
Here's a Lullaby
for anyone who wants to fly
from there home town
where people drown and where the town leaves die
This old library
has thrity books and one dictionary
but thats okay no one reads anyway we all watch tv
So heres your lullaby
no girl dont cry just rest your head and go to bed your time will come to fly
away
never a day just dream your life away
sleep...
All the dogs will die
they just cant seem to stay alive
cause in this town our cop shoots him down and we just let him go inside
Please God please what happened to our dreams
were loseing hope so we invest in dope to feel our vacant feelings
So heres your lullaby
no boy dont cry just rest your head and go to bed your time will come to fly
away
never a day just dream your life away
