Music Minutes
Separating this from the original SRFTQ because it's getting too long.
Music Minute I
I prefer Whitney’s “Million Dollar Bill” video much better than her long awaited debut video “I Look to You”.
Music Minute II
In an odd sense of pride, I cannot bring myself to get Paloma Faith or Pixie Lott’s albums. Actually, I can’t even get myself to hear anything new from them…
Music Minute III
Frankmusik is not bad. I actually enjoyed most of the tracks of an electropop album. “In step” is probably my favourite.
Music Minute IV
Mika’s new album is out, and after several listens, “The Boy Who Knew Too Much” definitely did not disappoint. Besides the extremely catchy ‘Blame It on The Girls’ and nursery-rhyme-gone-dark ‘Boytoy’, other tracks worth mentioning are actually all the other tracks on the album (I did try to list out a few ‘better’ ones but ended up listing everything) which are a mix of catchy and melancholic tunes. All in all, I would compare the album to “a fun sunny day out and about leading to an evening in with a warm bath, a good book, hot cocoa, and continuous light rain.”
Music Minute V
Kris Allen premiered the first single of his debut album, ‘Live Like We’re Dying’. The single, although was a cover from an Irish band I forgot the name of, is pretty darn cool, especially for an Idol's first single. There are claims that the chorus is just like Macarena’s (which is bullocks to me), but hey, at least you will know how many seconds there are in a day. [86400]
Music Minute VI
Britney Spears recently released a new single ‘3’ to be included into her new greatest hits collection. It’s pretty good and classic Britney (Blackout/Circus era). For any twisted mind, it is a great way to teach a kid to count up to 3. It is also an extremely suitable song to annoy anyone within an earshot distance when played on loop. I think I got irritated myself after about the 5th repeat.
