Best of 2009-unfinished-

I had originally intended to post this along with my new year's post but that one got a little too depressing to actually celebrate the year that came to be. [How ironic]
So, without further ado, I give to you, in MY OPINION:

Movie of 2009 : (500) Days of Summer
In line with the bleak atmosphere of 2009, the realistic and at times gloomy approach taken at the retelling of a love story from a male perspective is devoid of hope [due to its non-linear timeline] and has minimal romance thus in effect, cutting down the plot to its bare bones. Yet this minimalistic approach served to...

TV series of 2009 : The Big Bang Theory
Although I was planning on sticking to my all-along favourite (and I almost did as I was typing this),the shortcomings of the new season of Ugly Betty has tipped the scales in favour of my newfound comedy. While it took a while to get the chemistry of the show right, it has ultimately done so and the result is a smart, nerdy, funny and at times, informative half hour of laughs. Jim Parsons is SO cute [Note to self : I must STOP describing 30+ year old men as cute].

Special Mention : Ugly Betty, 30 Rock

Album(s) of 2009 : Jordin Sparks - Battlefield, Lenka - Lenka, Lady Gaga - The Fame Monster, Mika - The Boy Who Knew Too Much
Just some of the albums that I have managed to listen through and got stuck in my head for some time. There are probably more but I have been lazy or have not had the time, whichever one chooses to believe =p

Special Mentions : Whitney Houston, Britney Spears (since she only released a new single), and Kris Allen (half of his album anyways, sorry Glambert fans.)

I wonder if I forgot other categories I was supposed to write about...
